Default Headers or VAFC

Ok so I get paid tommorow && I got 2 really good deals going for me, but Im very confused. The first is the Apexi VAFC & the second a Megan Racing Header. Now I know the V-AFC wont do much since I have an 04, but I figure if its tuned right I can expect atleast 3-5 hp, evening out the power band, & better fuel economy (and yes I understand the ECU must be reset often, or left only to work at 80%+ throttle). As for the megan headers, I think it'll comlete my exhaust nicely. I have a T1R 63mm test pipe, followed by 63mm Apexi World Sports exhaust and figure the megan header would help with the flow.

So what to do?

BTW anybody running a V-AFC on an AP2?

if you ahve an 04 why do you only get 80% throttle? or are you saying teh vafc will work under 80% throttle and the stock ECU takes over at above 80% throttle???

supposebly the stock ECU goes in some sort of loop , where it can not learn or re-adjust itself after 80% open throttle, so yes the VAFC basically works at that point, unless you constantly reset your stock ecu so it will not keep those adjustments.

Lets say I put more fuel flow on the VAFC, the stock ECU will begin to ask for more air, so in the end your right where you started. basically the ECU can only make adjustments at half open throttle or something like that.
