no you are not. WHen running WOT, the ecu uses predetermined maps from the factory, this is when you can control your fuel effectively with the vafc. Anything other than wot, the ecu continually adjusts your fuel... I dont really see the need to adjust part throttle runs anyways, who races @ part throttle?

in closed loop the ECU is adjusting things. dont you think in denver colorado the map would need to be different at WOT as opposed to in lousiana???? the air density difference makes it such that your statment is not true
thanks I just purchase the Apexi SAFC2 I hope to install it tommorow afternoon, anybody have some base settings I could use. I currently have; as mentioned before, intake, test pipe, and exhaust.
buy the boomslang harness if you dont have it already.....100 times easier then trying to hardwire. I had so many problems trying to harddwire. kept getting check engine lights. I had the same bolts ons with my car as you do and the only thing we really changed was the the vtec lower to 5700. that gave me 6 hp across the powerband. you need to hit a dyno to get the air fuel tuning done
i obviously know we have one header..Does it really bother you so much you guys have to post 152346 reply's mentioning this. It must be the new cool thing fan boys are doing.
I will be taking the VAFC2 to the DYNO some time next week, as for installation I'll be doing it myself. I have a solder and everything else I'll require, It wont be the first time I install one so im pretty confident.
I just need some base AP2 settings, I dont plan on lowering VTEC under 5,400.
