HID replacement help

Default HID replacement help

I'm looking into changing the HID bulbs on my car..

Do I just need to buy replacement bulbs.. or is there something else needed!!

Any help would be appreciated.. thanks!

If one of them died or you just want a different color all you need are 35w D2S bulbs. I wouldn't recommend getting anything over 6000k since the loss of visibility gets pretty significant after that. OEM is 4300 which is slightly off white, and 5000k is pure white.

I wanted something really bright.. 10000k or 12000k

visibility is lost??

The degrees Kelvin (K) have nothing to do with brightness.

To you that would represent color more than brightness.

And yes if you get out of the spectrum the eye is "comfortable with" then you lose some visibility.

typically the higher the number the more blue/purple the color will be, not necessarily the birghter or more visibility you will have. a couple of us have replaced our bulbs from the ddmtuning site. here is a picture comparison between stock and the 12000K lights.
