Xenon Bulb Differences
OEM Honda s2000 Low Beam Xenon light bulbs are a Phillips 85122+.
Phillips also makes a 85122 and a 85123.
Will any of these bulbs work, or do our head light require 85122+?
Thanks.

You can use any of those bulbs. There are differences though.
"D2S" is the "size" or "style" of the bulb. D2S bulbs come in a variety of "color temperatures" that range from 3000K (K for Kelvin temperature scale) to 6000K and higher. In general, the lower the color temperature the higher the output (more lumens). The color is also different where 3000K is yellowish, 4100k white/blue, 4800k bluer, 6000K more blue. So those kids going for the blue "look" are getting lights with less output.
85122: D2S. OEM Honda(?) with color temp of 4100K. The color is bluer white with slight greenish tone.
85122+: D2S CM (Plus). 4300K. Aftermarked only. Ment to pair up with used 85122.
85123: D2S. Color is bluer white with slight purple tone. Not officially on Philips product list. Nevertheless, it is found in some BMW OEM HID headlamps.
"CM" means color match
If I were buying a pair I would go for the 85122 with color temp of 4100K. If replacing one and your car has lots of hours on the bulbs then the 85122+ may be the best choice.

Thanks Random1, it is all making sense. I have been having trouble with this ever since I rebuilt my car. I never put the light back correctly.

Since there seems to be many more straight 85122 bulbs, I think that is what I will use. Thanks.
