A whille back I was having trouble finding reverse led lights that were bright/white enough, but today I found a couple Youtube videos feat. a RL with Hid converted reverse lights. Looked great to me. Does anyone here have Hids as reverse light on their S??

I would rock them. Not to be a ricer or anything, but those damn little backup lights they have are POS's! The oem lights dont light up shit! I bet those of you who're questioning the OP have never driven backwards in a non-streetlit area...its terrible!

I bought 3W LEDs in hope that they'd make it brighter/better (3W LED's are whats in the higher end LED flashlights...) but they were pieces of crap too! 20-30bucks a pop!

I know newer caddy's have them stock..and its not as though youre going around with your backup lights on (therefore not ricer...?) Its function>fashion

 

i know some guys on another forum that mounted HID kits to their reverse lights. but they also drove around flashing people for whatever reason.

 

I've never considered the purpose of reverse lights as anything other than an indicator to people behind the car. I don't think they are intended to illuminate the area behind the car for backing up.

 

I honestly don't think its worth it.
