Ok I am going to be purchasing a set of HID's and I am stuck between 12k or 14k. I am probably going to go with 14k but just wanted some opinions and if anyone has either how much should I have to worry about with the cops?

 

anything above 8 or so is really starting to sacrifice light output for the sake of color...if thats what you're after go for it but you might not be able to see the cops at night before they pull you over

Yeah, just don't. Best lighting is between 4K and 6K.

14k is just crazy

what does 14k look like? i've never seen past 10k.

best light output as everyone stated is 4-6k

 

4300.. best out put and looks pure white.

as everyone else stated.. it's stupid to go over 8k...

6k if you want to look blue at slightly reduced output.

at 14k... might as well carry mag light. so you can see the road.
