My high beam is 6000k and that is as blue as i'd ever want to go.

My projectors are still 4300k, but I like the blue tint so I am going for 5000k.

6000k is the absolute limit in my opinion and in hindsight, I wish i'd have gotten 5000k for my high beam instead.

Into Blue Temperature Light?

12k or 14k your asking for a ticket every night you drive. 6k is the best one i think.

This is a bit off topic, but maybe you guys can help.
Why do most Lemans teams use yellow lights? if 4300k is the best you'd think they would be running those

The factory output on my oem headlights/bulbs is absolutely fantastic. Great colour and much better output then any HID lighting system I have ever seen driving any other car.

Found your answer with a quick search. So, the GT cars have yellow lights, and the faster prototype LMP2 and LMP2 cars have yellow. The marshall uses the lights to differentiate when to throw up the blue lights to allow passing.

dr vanski on that board seemed to have answered it:

Up at 12:30am. There was a full moon and it was almost like daylight. The temperature had dropped into the low 70's. The French workers were all bundled up in sweaters and long coats. The oncoming cars' headlights were absolutely dazzling. It was very hard watching up-track until my eyes adjusted. I had a few occasions to use the `blue lights' and it was relatively easy. The GT class cars all had yellow headlights and any time you saw white headlights behind yellow ones, you hit the blue lights. The station chief apologized profusely to Anne Hefty as on his poste, ladies are not required to work on the night shifts. Trooper Anne worked anyway. With three locations and six people rotating, the 1:00 to 3:00am shift went by very quickly and it was back to bed.
