Pro's:
- makes the lovely HKS exhaust note a tad bit more aggressive
- a slight mid range increase (butt dyno)
- did i mention the exhaust note?

Con's:
- not carb legal (atleast not here in CA for me)
- a tad bit smelly, but u get used to it.
- if your car is white, the bumper may turn yellowish, but should come right off

i might post a vid of my HKS+TP combo later

If you keep your bumper waxed with a synthetic like NXT, the residue will wipe right off.

I love my TP. Of course the Invidia is a tad bit louder to start.

The smell won't bother you. It never has for me, and I think it starts going away after a while (not sure why, but it does).

Great mid-range gains when paired with an exhaust.

Don't let people scare you about fines. Find me ONE person who has got pegged for a $XXXX dollar fine in CA and then I'll start to believe it.

What's a good tp to go with the HKS exhaust?

Also, does anyone know for a fact if the HKS exhaust is CARB legal? The tp won't be hard to remove, but the exhaust would be a bit of a hassle.

any testpipe should do the job.. i have a berk TP and i love it! no CEL's and no problems ever since i installed it. i think the HKS catback is legal, i don't see why not... it isn't really emitting any more pollution in the air (stock cat) and it isnt loud enough to rattle your brains..

The bumper will not be yellow it will be black around your exhaust tips and you will have to wax it weekly to keep it from building up.

Any catback exhaust is legal in CA as long as it meets sound requirements.

It shouldn't be nearly as loud as the Invidia. The Invidia doesn't have that extra resonator at the split like the HKS does.

EDIT: http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/evasive_...c?p=32003-KH010

Here's what it sounds like without TP.

Where the hell do people get the "rotten egg" comparison from. Rotten eggs smell like farts or shit, catless smells like gasoline. Last I checked farts don't smell like a gas station
