hks is probably one of the nicest sounding exhausts out there....and no, it's definitely not as loud as the Invidia..... never heard the hks with the test pipe (only vid clips).

gas > rotten eggs

i first posted on this thread when my car was bone stock. now i've had intake/test pipe/HKS for a while and i can say that it sounds amazing. and the rotten egg smell is definitely some BS. it's a toxic yet sweet gasoline smell, and i loooove it maybe it has to do with what kind of gas you use...

Just installed HKS exhaust and berk TP and it sounds amazing!

one thing though, the left muffler sticks out more and is not as close to the bumper as my right one is... Im using all the hardware that came with the hks.

Any suggestions?

I have an HKS with testpipe on my car, although now, it's with a turbo. The exhaust is VERY deep...I mean VERY. When you start the car from a cold start, it will vibrate everything in the garage. It is a very low bellow, but very smooth, hence, the vibrations. When the car gets warm, it shuts up, and it rather quiet. Part throttle, it has a little bellow until about 5000 rpm, then it shuts up again. At full throttle, it will howl until about 5500 rpm, then, the engine noise will take over. It is extremely drivable, and nothing like Nvidia.

Yes, and Berk. The tips situation I've explained in almost every single HKS thread I saw. You just need to adjust the hangers a little bit. The exhaust will hang perfectly even.

I had this combo, together with HKS header and intake.
Sound was really nice. The TP didn't make it much louder.
Sound became (even) more subaru-like.
It wasn't as loud as invidia, ,my 70RR isnt even as loud as an invidia!

Deleting a cat doesnt stink like eggs.. :S

have some tabs welded to the test pipe so you can bolt on the cat heatshield.

i've idle'd next to cops with their windows down and I haven't been pulled over. if they do look under, they see a heatshield covering my testpipe
