Default Hondata IMG installation

Hey guys ive been thinking about installing a hondata IMG and had a few questions. Ive been looking at this guide http://www.s2000.org/mods/insulator/

Does it seem like theres some unnecessary steps? Last time they removed the intake manifold (to remove the head). All they did was disconnect a few hoses and what nots and slided the manifold back with the throttle cable still on and injectors still on. Had it off in about 20 minutes. Seems like this way I wont have to replace the washers if I were to take off the injectors and fuel rail. Has anyone done it this way or are all these steps really necessary?

Bumparoo because I have the exact same question. I got my gasket in about a week ago and just ordered the fuel washers from my dealer. There is no way that all of those hoses/wires can't be stretched for 15 seconds so that you can slip off the old and on the Hondata. As you can see, the s2000.org guy was documenting a manifold removal, which makes me think that there may be things that you don't have to do.

I'd like to know as well since I've stayed away from the Hondata intake manifold gasket because it looked like a pita.

I have one waiting to go in as well. But the thing that makes me question as to whether you would have to remove fuel rail and all comes from Todd's write up. He says he needed to go back an tighten all the bolts after install, and it was a pain but he could reach them all with everything back in place. Makes me think you could leave the stuff on and still get to the bolts.

But you might get more response from the wrenchers if this was in the "Under the hood" section.
