Mods like this don't usually result in real hp gains. What you do get is better, crisper throttle response.

You probably also, briefly, get more hp at certain rpms under certain circumstances. That is what you are feeling with the crisper throttle response.

I would do this mod if it were long term reliable for a DD. Those heat pics are gold. I would think Hondata would want to use those for marketing. Very impressive. Really show the value.

The air is passing through the intake manifold so fast at WOT it will have little to absolutely no effect on the temperature of the ambient air. This mod is "cool" to be nice to the people using it, but it's a total and complete waste of time/money/effort.

It will effect it because it a close system. Just blow compress air again heated surface like a engine and see for yourself. The air transfer heat.

Don't knock on it until you try it and dyno it. Plus install is not a wast of time.

LOL, yea that's totally the same thing. You're a fool if you honestly think that gasket in any type of real world scenario will do anything to increase power. Fool.

I would not have changed mine, but the intake manifold was coming off anyway to I install a larger throttle body and port matched. I thought what the hell, it would be off so I will replace the gasket with this one. It is still doing well, I just wish I would have changed the thermostat at the same time. No issues on the current one, but could have been done then as well.

Right, but why assume the only reason is to increase hp at wot? The point of this thing is to improve throttle response and reduce heat soak, not to increase top end hp.

And if we all put race gas in our cars they'll be faster.
