Ive seen it done to old 240's where it looks nice. Its usally not as drastic as the civic above. But I would never do it to my S

its odd becasue our cars lines and body gaps are so tight that it owuld look stupid

well i was think just like a 1/2 inch or less nothing like over the top, but i think a front lip will get the job done just as well

i know of two cars that have them and it looks really nice in person. Its not near as extreme as the hatch in the picture. Also the cars that i know of have them for functional cooling puroses.

you dont want vented hoods so close to the windshield. My Firebird (88) had a cowl hood, vent out the back - it was plugged from the factory but it could easily be removed so I did....at night, after letting the car sit for a while..the heat would transfer from underhood -> windshield, fogging up my windshiled...badly.
