Default How to fix plastic rollbar cover?

The one on the driver's side has completely separated. I have some black electrical tape at the bottom of each base wrapped around to keep it more or less together without the tape being visible in plain sight. I'm thinking the plastic "snaps" on the inside have been totally messed up.

Similarly, I think related plastic parts on the passenger side are loose and make tons of rattle.

I'm also thinking that the dealer I bought the car from did a poor job putting the new top on. ;-(

My first instinct is to get jiggy with some polyurethane adhesive (VERY strong and VERY flexible). But that would more or less permanently adhere parts which I don't think I want.

I used black silicone to put mine back together... has held up fine for a year now.

That seems like a pretty good idea. At least silicone isn't so permanent.

Did you use it just on the rollbar covers or on the rest of the plastic surrounding all that stuff? Seems like a giant jigsaw puzzle of plastic back there and some of my parts have been jammed together improperly.

I used it on just the roll bar covers, since that was all that separated.

I applied the silicone (quite a bit) and then zip tied the covers together so they could hold it snug while it dried, then just used a damp cloth to clean up the excess while it was still wet. Dries pretty quick too.
