I have a friend that im interested in buying a hardtop off of. Its a mugen rep. with carbon only on the outside and a lexan back window. Hes asking for $1000. Would this be a good deal? Im planning on getting it painted too so I was wondering if it would be cheaper to just order a new pre-painted one from forbidden. Any thoughts?

 

Thats an amazing deal. I am selling a BRAND NEW Mugen replica Hardtop without CF sides for $1400, but mine is BNIB, never installed or tried on. Comes with glass window and all seals and hardware required

 

Who makes the top? There are multiple companies that make that top. If it is a decent replica, that is a good price because you don't have to deal with shipping. If it is a chaser or another horrible fitting hardtop than it isn't worth the hassle of installing (even if it was free). How is the fitment?

Does it come with hardware? How does it fit on his car? Is the clearcoat in good shape? That sounds like a good deal as long as its not in bad shape and has the hardware.

 

Good deal if in good shape! I got my frp forbidden top for around 1250 including shipping brand new from them. Great top!

 

sounds like a pretty decent deal, i would test fit it on your car to see how it fits before buying it though.

Yeah, that looks like about $500 worth of HT. It is ill fitting on the passenger side at the windshield. I would have bought it though.
