Why are you going through widebands so much?

I got probably about 18 months out of each sensor, but I hear some people replace them as part of their annual maintenance. From what I've heard, the digital controller from Innovate reduces the sensor's life compared to a UEGO.

Will putting it in a test pipe give me accurate results?

If you have an actual test pipe (no catalyst), then it would be totally accurate. You could even put it at the front of the test pipe, and just be a few inches away from the primary sensor.
