that's exactly where it is.

i put some dynamat inside the power chamber. works great so far. just have to make sure the stuff doesn't fall off and get sucked into my engine.

Interesting. I wasn't aware that there was a rattle problem from this part.

BTW, the video doesn't work.

You guys are crazy. I love the sound my intake makes.
I'm not so much in love with the way the resin is coming off though. Anyone else have this problem with it?

Have you tried driving around without the lid? If so, does it still make the rattle noise? All of my rattles go away without the lid.

I seriously doubt you like the noise we are talking about. It isn't the noise of a loud intake. It's a loud rattle that occurs at a certain RPM.

hmmm, well I have a completely unmodified PWJDM intake (minus the heat proof mat I put inside the powerchamber) and I don't mind the noise it makes from (approx) 3500rpm to around 5000rpm.
Although I wouldn't consider it a rattling noise. Who knows, it could be a different noise all together.
I have a vid of my car on the dyno and you can clearly hear it. I suppose I could post it, and you could let me know if it's the same sound?
I think I'll post what I mean about the resin coming off as well. (not flaking off it just disappears)
BTW, the "you guys are crazy" comment wasn't meant to be rude etc, was just kidding around.

holy....... that sound is just terrible, and PW JDM charges 1000 for their intake.

Alright here are two pics of the resin coming off.

Not the greatest quality. Was hard to get a decent shot of it.

I'll try to post the vid in a minute.

Dyno Vid.

Here's the vid....I think. I've never posted a vid before so hopefully it works.
Ignore the crappy numbers please. The other disappointing thing, at that dyno day, every other AP2 (even stock) got the exact same numbers. Wasn't pleased. However I have flashpro now, so just waiting on a tune to see what the intake will actually do.
