Bpi stack? Do CAI's suffer from heat bogging at low rpm?
thank you so much guys for all the pics and details, well....
I used to tune my own evo, and now that im new to S2000 world I have no Idea how they Tune S2000s, and I cant even find a link on here as far as how to tune an S2000.
but I think I be going more towards the sound, so Fink should be the way to go, how much do they coast used or new now days ?

llckll - BPi flow(velocity) stack. Google BPI stack.
OMGJDM - I bought both my FIPK and AUT plate off ebay. The AUT plate was on back order and I had to wait a month, but I did receive it.
w00t692 - EVERY intake has heatsoak, it's just a matter of how much. Believe me, even your CAI will have heatsoak. Datalogging on my H22 with a CAI, showed the IAT's climbing very quick at a standstill. I did dattalog 20* cooler while cruising over a SRI. Their's nothing to keep the pipe from heating up at an idle. When your moving you have air moving through the engine bay. Also depending on your throttle % and RPM(VE), you have cold air moving through the pipe cooling it off.

Having recently installed a cold air intake and driven it around in hot weather with lots of stop and go idling, I can tell you that, no, it doesn't heat soak and bog like the stock box does

FIPK, BPI stack and AUT plate for the win. Love my combo.
If you plan on getting tuned, go with a CAI. A CAI along with a tune, will show huge midrange gains. I didn't feel like going through the hassle every time the filter needed cleaning.

I just got an Injen put on mine....
The stock airbox, once heated....holds that heat a long time. Even once you get back underway from stop-n-go driving, it takes a while for the temps to come down.
The CAIs shed that built up heat very quickly in comparision to the stock airbox.
Like gernby said tho....they are not the only thing in the intake system that hold heat. They are a great help....and in my opinion....a good CAI will help keep your IATs much more managable.
