Default Intake or Snorkel

Hey guys

Which would you guys think is better for performance and HP gains. I currently have a K&N cold air intake. I'm thinking about eventually picking up a password jdm intake...i know they give like 11hp or something like that anyways.

P.S. I did a search but couldn't find anything, if you find something feel free to point me in that direction. Thanks.

Fixed, if you go that route. I am about to do an SRI, and hopefully it will make a few ponies. Gotta see about a Dyno.

well i had the k&n fipk but that would suck ass off the line, but it was great on a clear freeway. then i went with the stock airbox and stock filter. why? idk felt like it. but it would suck b/c throttle response was bad. then i added snorkel to get better throttle response and for cold air. then i added the k&n filter just for the hell of it. so now my current intake setup is apr cooling plate, cf snorkel, and k&n filter. and it is working good so far.

performance: the k&n fipk had alot more power, but you hap to be moving. the snorkel is alot better for just off the line.

whts teh benefit of the PWJDM lid besides bling?

i've had a mugen style intake, ran the air box with no lid, gutted air box + aut cooling plate + k&n drop in with a custom snorkel in the past. out of all of them the one that felt the best was the custom aut set up. i didnt have the aut plate anymore so i got a knock off snorkel and pulls the same. the mugen style intake didnt do much mid range but gained a few up top but over all i like the snorkel set up the best. its clean and inexpensive and feels better but its a set up that needs to be in motion. you wont see numbers from the set up on a dyno.

The K&N CAI is better than the snorkel...in both performance and gains, IMO.
