230hp? What else is done? Was this on a dyno or did you just G-tech it or something?

stick with stock intake.. don't waste money if you're going on dry intake filter..

Why do S2K owners complain about heat soak when sitting at a light? It's like you think the S2K is the only car that does this. Even if you have a CAI it'll still do this. It won't be sucking in hot air but by time it gets to the motor it'll be hot.

Datalogging on my H22 has proven this to be so. I'd sit at a light and the IAT would climb quick with both intakes. I did datalog 20* cooler while cruising; SRI(no heat shield) vs CAI.

What can't you stand? Just make sure you perform the regular maintenance and you'll be fine.

I would seriously question the accuracy of that dyno for giving you those figures! I have very similar mods (K&N FIPK, cat-bypass pipe, cat back system and run NGK IR plugs) and mine made 259.5 bhp (217.5 whp) and 164.6 lbs/ft at the flywheel and I was VERY happy with that gain

Not trying to disprove what you are saying there but I would try another dyno

I love my K&N FiPK v2 . I've actually considerered fabing up a top to it, and cutting out for a snorkel to simulate CAI temps

From my understanding the FIPK seals shut when the hood is closed, so their's no need to fab up a top for it. The snorkel might be a good idea though, especially after recording the differences from my other post.
