invidia test pipe question

invidia test pipe question
so i recently installed a invidia test pipe its paired up to my q300 it definitely made my car alot louder im still debating how i feel about it, kind of feel like i sound like a civic now , but my question is has anyone actually got caught for a test pipe i live in CA, i have my stock heat shield over it so it looks like a cat but still a lil nervous

No issues in AL...no inspection so only way it would be found is if a police officer looked under my car.
You will have to go back to stock CAT when you get your inspection done. Other than that, just don't get pulled over

It might be worth your while to sell your TP and get a High Flow Cat from Berk or another vendor. Legal and should pass inspection.

I live in New Jersey and have had no problem with my test pipe other than the CEL stilll on, but getting it fixed. I haven't been pulled over with the pipe on and it's been about a year but I don't drive the car often.
I have heard of cops whom if they are annoyed at you and have a sense of a test pipe due to check engine light; they will use a mirror to check under the car for the heatshield and make sue there is no test pipe. But since you have the heat shield still up they will not be able to tell and you can say the light is for something else.
