Default Test Pipe question

I am currently in the market for a test pipe, and i was pretty settled on the Berk, but then a local owner told me about a test pipe that has brackets on it so you wan attach the heat sheild off of your cat so it looks like you still have a cat. Cops here have recently started cracking down on stuff like that and i think that would probably be a good idea. So in essence, I am asking which one has these brackets, or if there is a way to modify any of the others to do this. I was pretty set on the Berk test pipe because of the built in CEL fix, but I am pretty open to suggestion if it means i can find a way to attach the stock heat shield to make it look more "Catalytic converterish." Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.

I would just get the high flow cat....performance is w/in 1hp and 1 ft/lb of tq of the test pipe...and no worries about cops.

I was pulled over a couple weeks ago...cop checked everything out. I have the high flow cat...he looked right past it. I would have been screwed if it was a test pipe...not to mention you're drastically reducing your emmisions.

Well, that would be ok, but 1) a high flow cat costs a lot more, and 2) to be totally honest, I dont care at all about emissions. Thats just me though. No offense to anyone who does, but I am just not that guy who cares about all that kind of stuff too much. Thanks for the idea though. If price wise they were the same, I might consider that. Back to the original question though.

J's racing and T1R test pipes have the brackets. There may be others as well, I'm not sure.

I have gone to Type 1 Racing for my test pipe they also have the CLE and it is coming soon. They are waiting on the new design to come in from Japan. It should be here at months end. The new design will allow you to use a 70mm exhaust pipe without the increase in sound db s. Since i purchased mine before they got the new shipment in i got it at $150 so yours will be higher, not sure how much though as it has not been released.
