J'S 60RS Rattle

J'S 60RS Rattle
Hi,
I read past topics of the forum, still I have some confusion about 60RS problems.
1) fitting on a MY06
2) rattle
About 1) I asked to JS and they told me that there were any fitment diffivuties.
About 2) I read everything on the site... vibration against bar, cracking problem, A&J solution to cracking.
In the end, I would like to know if latest JS exhaust 60RS still has this problem or it was solved. What do oyu suggest about this exhaust... I'm affascinated by the weight reduction, the possibility to combine it with the header that I know is one of the best in the market, the soud not too invasive.
Does the 60RS has a risonation (not rattle) around 3000-4000 rmp like HKS?
Thank you
Sorry for my english, I'm italian

My understanding is they braced the resonator housing on the new models. They are designated FX-60RS or something like that. I have a much older model that has the rattle. I have not had fitment issues on my MY2004 but my understanding is that you must buy a specific MY06 version. The volume of the exhaust is very reasonable with minimal resonance.

the rattle is just a crack on the inside of the resonator.
Very easy to fix by any good Ti welder.
Mine was fixed last year
Some have said I bought the FX-60rs and some have said I bought the first gen...
No-one seems to be able to tell because I bought mine right when they were changing over.

ok,
thanks so in the end the problem should be solved by J'S. If not it's sufficient to go to a good TI welder.
If I understood resonance is minimal, but does it mantain constant in time?
What about modifications made by A&J Racing?
thanks

^^^ if you're already rattling then you need to find a welder...
--- if you're just vibrating against the frame you need to slip a piece of rubber tubing over the muffler hanger (this is also a common problem w/ earlier J's 60RS

i have the new AJ racing edition and utill now its problem free
but it is not angled like the older ones, and it sounds amazing at WOT
there is some drown but its very tolarable, im sure you can live with it everyday, and its VERY light

thanks to erybody, but waht modification made by AJ racing with respect to JS?
So in conclusion if I buy a 60RS could I have:
1) rattle... but a solution could be found
2) drown, but is tolarable... is it lower than HKS silent?
3) small fitting problem against the frame.
Is there an alternative exhaust, which gives same results in term of weight reduction and cv, but that haven't problems (1,2,3)?
Thanks

is quite louder than the HKS
and fits my car perfectly
so to me its the perfect exhaust
but if the exhaust doesnt fit your car, and you think it will be too loud for you (i doubt it) then you should look elsewhere
mugen have some very cool exhausts, but they are heavier and more expesive then the j's but with more quality

1. you most likely won't get the resonator rattle.. VERY few people do (and anyway it's the price of being VERY light weight ti).
2. the 60RS is not loud (single is supposedly quieter than the dual). The drone at 3k - 4k is there, but minimal... and the WOT sound is music
3. the fitment of the 60RS is better than most exhaust ... some people with the earlier release put a piece of rubber tubing over the hanger to keep it from tapping the frame (under extreme WOT situations...) but most haven't found this necessary. And this happens with other exhaust too.
FWI - the rubber goes were the arrow is at the hanger.. (NOT at the circle were the cross member is)

better shot....
you just need (if you hear it vibrating) a 2" piece of tubing... (maybe 3/8" id - I honestly don't remember)
most hardware stores will give it to you as a "sample"
just slip it over the hanger and you're done.
