Default J's FX-60rs Single Exhaust

I'm looking into buying this Exhaust, I really want a Titanium but I'm thinking of settling for the SS version, any advantage with one over the other besides weight?

There's no real advantage besides weight. It's more brittle than SS. The hangers are more prone to breaking off of the titanium version. You then have to find someone that can weld titanium in your area which isn't the easiest to find (not cheap either I think).

I used to have the 60rs titanium and loved it. It was extremely light, looked great and sounded amazing. The older titanium versions look different than the newer ss versions. Like everyone else said, only problem is titanium is next to impossible to weld so if something happens you may be SOL. The resonator packing on the titanium versions have a tendency to break off from the outer portion and it causes a slight rattle.
Unless you are trying to shed every pound from the car, it might be a better idea to get the ss version (still lighter than stock).

Wasnt the rattle issue resolved with the newer version?
I'm starting to lean toward the SS but the Titanium is sooo sexy.

the later FX60RS versions had a brace/bar connecting the piping to the out edge of the resonator. I had one of the early ones without it and did have to get the resonator repaired. It wasn't as bad as many people think, you just have to find a more industrial level welding shop. Cost me $85. The prices have gone up from where they were so I don't know which I would go with anymore. The sound of the titanium will be slightly different though because of the thinner tubing. SS will likely be more mellow. I had probably 5 different exhausts on my S2k and the 60RS was my favorite overall when I was NA. Too quiet when turbo'd though.
