Default Js racing type V hood and password Jdm intake...

Tried searching with no luck.... Anyone have first hand experience with the fitment of the passwordJdm intake and Js hood?

I had to trim my oem hood to be able to have my hood sit flush, despite the fact PJDM claims you don't have to.

Now I'm wondering if I would get the Js type V hood would it clear the PJDM snorkel since I has a cut out for the Js snorkel?

If you've tried this out please post...thanks s2ki

I just adjusted, adjusted, kept on adjusting and moving the intake around until the hood finally was able to shut. I definitely didn't have to trim it. I also didn't use the brace or support for it, fwiw. But I recently had a lot of suspension work, motor/tranny mounts installed, bunch of other stuff installed and dyno tuned and the shop didn't put the intake back on the way I had it so now I've got to mess with it again. And its either banging the hood or they loosened the screws on it cause its making the infamous "brrrrap" sound.

Oh and just a fyi, if you aren't tuned I HIGHLY recommend tuning with that intake, I had gains of damn near 25+ whp throughout a lot of the midrange. And about 12-15whp at 9.2k over stock. If I can post the graphs after my vacation I will.

The J's hood should work with the PWJDM, The J's Hood has a recessed area for their own intake snorkel that is way thicker than the PWJDM one.

Yes, I tuned with it and it did make great power, I'm just hoping if I can throw the Js hood on and it will just close perfectly, can't stand to have the hood sit higher than stock, really bothers me actually. Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll just have to see.
