You must be getting confused with the substandard SUS304 catback exhaust recently posted in the gallery subforum. There are no problems with the welding of J's exhaust manifold. The welding is on par with other JDM branded manifolds.

You talk like as though any N/A manifold is a problem and that if you go FI, you must use a FI manifold. That is very untrue, plenty of FI owners running the J's manifold as a good example. There are still power gains.

I was a brief owner of the new 2010 Hytech SC manifold and was going to swap it out with my reliable power gaining J's manifold. I'm still waiting to see a unbias dyno reading of a Hytech SC manifold on some sort of standard SC kit with daring comparisons to one of the most popular manifolds, the J's.

The Hytech pipes are no doubt bigger, the welds aren't too bad either. But it's one hella heavy piece of kit, double the weight of a J's manifold.

Umm no. I said nothing like that. I was stating that, if you know your going FI you should buy a FI spec header. Yeah, you should see gains from an N/A header but if Hytech makes an FI spec header, then it's for a reason.

With the larger piping and the longer legth, im not very surprised the Hytech is a little heavier than the J's header.

Its a shame it didnt work on your RHD S2000.

Hello s2ki,

I'm stuck between the three headers. Currently I am N/A but I do plan on supercharging in the near future. I was leaning towards the J's over the Toda Torquie-Kun for the longest time but would love some feedback on others that have experienced them N/A and supercharged. Also, Hytech has a supercharged spec header available now. Not sure of the gains compared to a J's or Toda supercharged f22..

Thanks,
Andrew
Hytech spent a significant amount of time on the development of the Supercharger header. The header is made of the finest quality materials and some of the best welding around. The cost of the Hytech unit is in line with most of the other JDM headers even too Feel free to PM me any questions regarding the Hytech. I have had the J's on my own cars in the past as well so ive seen and used both.

What did you ended up getting?

I was so sure getting J's or Hytech ... but then Hytech may not fit my RHD JDM S2k so I guess im only left with no choice...

and Yen at this exchange rate is not doing any favor as well...

Also interested in a similar setup. I won't be supercharging until way down the road though, so what would be the implications of running a FI spec header on a NA car, will it just not work as good and rob a few hp?
