for the people using the drain valve did you use the washer it came with or the factory crush washer? I used the one it came with and now I have a small leak. I think im going to get a stock crush washer and use it on my next oil change.
I would guess that you overtorqued the valve. The drain valve should definitely NOT be torqued to the OEM spec for the stock drain bolt. You definitely can't use the stock crush washer with it either.

You know I have done the rear up front down and never gave it much thought untill now. If I have to work on the car underneath I use ramps most of the time and most of the time it is front up rear down ebrake on.
I may look into this as well I hate getting under this car. Im glad I read this.

I started to use this back in around 2004 on my RSX when I was in college without a garage. I hated paying $50+ for a synthetic oil change. This made it easy enough to do an oil change without a garage in the hot or cold. It's been on every car I've owned since then (02 RSX-S, 98 Eclipse GST Spyder, 02 S2000, 07 S2000, 07 Fit, 93 240sx)

If there's any worry about valve failures, it's very unlikely. The valve isn't the lowest point on the car, and if you're hitting the oil pan on something, you've likely got much bigger problems.

Fumoto USA has a lifetime warranty on the valve which indemnifies any consequential damage due to valve failure. So if the valve somehow starts leaking oil and you blow your engine due to oil starvation, Fumoto USA will pay for your new motor.

Sure, I sell them, but I've also been using them for many many years.

I used the Fumoto valve for over 30k miles (over the course of 5 years) on my S2000, and never once had any issues with it. I loved being able to do an oil change from the top (I had an AEM V2 so the stock airbox wasn't in the way).

Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to use one as I'm supercharged now and chose to run an oil-fed blower instead of self-lubed.

I forgot to mention that based on my experience with the S2000, I'm also running the Fumoto valve with my 2 other cars.
