Oh you must be going NUTS! I bought mine at the BEGINNING of the 2007 season (May 1st) as opposed to the end like you did.

I can't even start the car to hear it at idle because my battery is pulled and airbox / exhaust sealed. But I've heard this exhaust enough times to contain my excitement, though a few day dreams creep in from time to time

HKS is a popular exhaust around here. If there where any fitment problems there would have been a gigzillion warnings posted.
I haven't seen one.

your bumper won't melt unless it touches it. my Invidia was dangerously close to my bumper and it never made any change whatsoever. by HKS is pretty close and hasn't done anything either.

No problems here and it take a lot of heat to melt that bumper man.

I installed this exhaust on my S and the driver side almost touches the bumper while the passenger side seems to sit at the perfect level. I guess I need to bend the hanger a little to make them even. I'll post a pic after the rain goes away.
Anybody elses hks end up uneven after the install?

I have used HKS for years and the design and sound is great, but beware the welds if you drive in salt country.

I had the same problem when I first installed my HKS as well, but it was really easy to fix! I just loosened the bolts that connected the muffler to the "Y", and pulled it down while I fastened the bolts again. Worked perfect!

Wont take as much as you might think. Guy I work with has a Type R and the tip is within 1/4" and it melted the bumper. Not thinkin I would like that one much!!!

Ill change out the rubbers and have at it!

You can play around with diff hangers to get the best fit. I did and got the exhaust to fit an 07 with any hanger bending.
