Darn, you guys make both products hard to choose from lol.
I know power wise, theyre pretty much the same, AEM a bit more apparently.
Im pretty convinced i want AEM, and as far as ive seen AEM sounds better to huh ? Im pretty sure if i dont go throuh some dumb deep puddles i will be ok. Im aware i can tape off a hole and i can make or buy a sheild for the dripping water. Installation isnt a worry for me either besides maybe the cutting ? or is it not even a big deal ? Also, im purchasing new. What website would you reconmend for me to buy off of ? Prefferably one that is cheaper/fast shipping/ and has many other parts, im looking for a few more other thing. Thanks in advance

You can't just ford deep water even with the FIPK. Small puddles aren't an issue for my Fujita and the filter is washable. Again, all this has been endlessly covered before. There's no new information in this thread so far and I wouldn't expect anything new to come up. Each person has differing priorities and acceptable risks and needs to make the decision based on that.

Heat soak is frequently brought up -- even in this very thread. Your statement assumes it's a non-issue across the board.

To the OP, just get whatever you want man. I still say get the FIPK because of the reasons already mentioned. If you like the AEM better then cool, I just hope I don't end up seeing another "I accidentally hydrolocked my engine" thread. Pretty much all the people I knew that didn't think they would ever hydrolock their engine are the ones that ended up doing it. It didn't happen in a river deep puddle either. Just saying.

With the K&N you don't have to cut anything..

It just deletes a few vaccum lines..

But I'm pretty sure there's no cutting involved on any short ram intake for the s2000..

i have had both intakes as well. i like the aem v2 over the k an n fipk. just my personal preference. sound is better, no more heatsoak. i use to get a good amount of heat soak with the fipk.
