The cutting issue is what turned me off to the AEM. I HATE permanently modifying a car.

Cutting splash guards isn't a permanent modification when you can always buy new ones.. Or used ones

Pulling quarter panels is permanent though..

If you have any of the short ram intakes, they generally draw air from under the hood... Because of the amount of heat in the engine bay when the car is sitting still, the intake takes in a lot of that heat when you're just sitting there at idle.. Heat + gasoline = very lean mixture.. That lean mixture is not as combustible as your normal mixture.. So the car bogs down when you try take-off normally. It's noticeable when you're at a stop light or sitting in traffic and start to take off.. You'll know it's heat soak/bog because your car will feel like it wants to die before the ECU decides to richen the mixture a bit to compensate..
