Default Koni problem

My buddy and I just got down installing a used set of Koni shocks last night. When we were tightening the lower shock mounts, the bolt would not tighten!!! That's the problem.
Out of 4 shocks, 3 are bad regarding the lose thread.

What can I do? Im planning to go down the dealer and buy some 12 mm nuts and hopefully that would hold them in place.

Any similar experiences?

cut the nuts off from the shocks and buy 4 new nuts! they strip out very easy.

Last night was horrendous installing these, we went from store to store at around 830pm looking for nuts. We didnt find any. WIll the dealer have a 12mm nut in stock? Lets hope.

I am driving the car right now, risking it......sigh.
