KPro - Flashpro... Am I just SOL?

Greddy EMU is the only option for passing in AZ. If you plan to keep it na and maintain factory injectors, AEM V2 is a good option. I say the na & oem injectors because it is a plug and play ecu, so no sensor swapping or labor like K-pro. You could swap back to the factory ecu a day or two before testing and reinstall it afterwards. Will take all of 10 minutes total to swap. Aem v2 would be more than capable to handle f/i and injectors if you choose to go that route later on down the road- you will just lose the convenient swap benefit.

There is not much difference between 00-03 and 04-05 cars, it will work with both cars.
Unless you know someone experienced with tuning these units this is probably your best choice http://www.karcepts.com/shop/product.php?id_product=102

It's a piggyback ecu so nothing close as what a flashpro does. Quality is good and you can fine tune your car for the basic upgrades.

I had a Greddy EMU with Boomslang harness on my 2005 and it works fine; it will pass emissions because the stock ECU is still in place. Tony at UMS can tune it (though he doesn't like to because Greddy hasn't upgraded the software since Windows 7). I have it with harness for sale significantly less than new if you want to go that route (moved to a 2008).

Any engine management system from 00-05 is compatible. The only things between the ap1 and non dbw ap2 (04-05) that are not directly compatible are steering rack, rear upper control arms, driveshaft and associated flanges. The 04-05 is a glorified ap1- it shares a lot more in common with the ap1 than it does the 06+. The 04-05 have ecu options of kpro, aem v1, aem v2, aem infinity, haltech, doctronics, ballade sports hondata, mslabs and a few others. The 06+ are the ones that have very few options.

The thing to keep in mind when looking at Japanese companies is they only had the f20. The f22 is an American market engine. Most markets only had the f20, so they list it as so.
