Default I didn't pass the vehicle inspection with FlashPro

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone know if FlashPro make the secondary O2 sensor say "unready" or if it makes it say ready.

In Oregon, they just plug you in and if you car says things are good than everything is good and they send you on your way.

I have a test pipe and exhaust on my car along with FlashPro to counter the CEL that I get from the O2 sensor.

On Monday I did have the battery disconnected on my car while doing some work, does it take that long for the computer to "re-learn" your ecu? Does FlashPro just tell the computer that it is "un-ready" and just forces the CEL light off?

Any insight would be helpful. Just trying to figure out if I need to drive my car more before I go back to get it checked (I have driven at least 100 miles since disconnecting the ecu). Or do I need to throw the catalytic converter back in? I was hoping that having FlashPro would absolve me of that problem.

Thanks guys!

Within the flash pro manager it will tell you the current readiness state for emissions. Make sure to check that before you go in. By resetting the ecu it has to run check before the readiness will be set to complete.

You must put your car through a drive cycle cause you wiped out the moniters memory and basically the car must run all monitors or it wont be ready for inspection. If you drive enough youll be fine but theres a certain way todo a drive cycle so you can run all the monitors and be done with it. Ill look on alldata and see if theres anything special you must do tomorrow for the S

Its all good now. We took his car through the DEQ in the brubs instead and pass without issues. The DEQ in the city is a bit more strict.

I think when the flash pro rear o2 sensor disable feature is slected it turns the readiness state to not ready and leaves it like so.

with the new inspections system as of aug 1... if you have flash pro or any car where the 2ndary o2 is turned off... the state with catch that and know its not on.... at our shop we had a VW come in with a reflash and the only thing the flash turns off is the 2nd o2 and it came up failed because it says o2 sensor un detected.!!! This was in NJ

There is also the drive cycle "relearn" thing, too.
The procedure is listed in the Owner's Manual.
Driving in Chicago stop-and-go traffic for a month didn't suffice, I had to actually go through the steps before the sensors activated... normal driving patterns never hit the required quota of time at each speed.

a quick and easy way to check your readiness codes is to turn the key on engine off and wait for the eng light to go out. if it flashes instead of going off then you have some that are not ready. in texas it will pass with one not ready though.

Im a state inspector here in texas. I ran an inspection for a friend with flashpro. He had the secondary O2 turned off and it passed fine. Our systems here will allow a PASS with 1 not ready. So as long as the rest pass, you will be fine.
