You may find the tubes on ebay, or just about any online computer place such as xoxide.com.
To plug them in, really all I did was took a little piece of acrylic that I cut to be the same size as the wedge the 194 bulbs have. Then cut a two notches on one side, took the bare wires of the CCFL and bent them over the notches. From there, you just plug it into the socket.
It is nowhere as hard as it may sound. If you want, I can do it in 3 minutes, take pictures, and PM you.
Let me know.

I could see what you mean with a normal led array with a bunch of standard leds facing one way, but what about these led's?
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/Product...r_by/sell_price
They are supposed to be very bright. They arent those stanard led types either; it think these high-powered types are much better.
And also, i'd just like to throw in that i have a set of those cheapo 4 led 194/168 bulbs in red as my parking lights as well as my clear side markers. The previous owner put them in. I have to say, for a couple of bux at autozone, they are pretty bright. They are very easy to see at night and are definately brighter than the stock clear bulbs.
they look like these

They are definately more focused because they are just 4 forward pointing leds, but the plastic diffusers still light up completely.
just a thought.
I really want bright reverse lights though, so if you have any experience with them, let me know.

The only real way of doing LEDs is either OEM or making a custom LED board that fills the entire lens using correct LED light physics. So yes, it can be done but 99/100 times its half assed to say the least and dangerous.

You get two tubes, but one inverter.
I'll get a picture or two tomorrow, and send them over to you.

The CCFL will not light up unless you have it going such as this:
power -> inverter -> CCFL
I had some time before the woman go home from work, so I made an example of how I hooked it up.
1. A piece of plastic:

2. Cut to size:
http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c122/MOD...atelight003.jpg
3. Cut notches for wires:
http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c122/MOD...atelight004.jpg
4. Fold wires over notches to simulate a light bulb:
http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c122/MOD...atelight005.jpg
5. Plug into bulb socket:

After (4), you may use epoxy or heat-shrink to hold everything in place. Then go onto (5). Zip-tie the tube above in your bumper, and zip-tie the inverter to the stock wire harness.
I have had this done for over 3 months, and at least 8 washes. Never a problem.
There are other ways of wiring them up. You may also use these:

Good luck with everything!
