There is significant firewall flex during brake application have a buddy firmly press the brakes while you watch or use the movie App on your phone camera. This minimizes it. The claim is better braking or brake feel. Stops the firewall flex for sure.

That may be true on your car, but not true on all of them. I could see how a high mileage car my have a fatigued firewalll .I have an 05 with 100k miles and there is no flex on my firewall when the brakes are applied.

Yours is the only one then. I didn't put a dial indicator on mine but the movement was visible on my "high mileage" (40,000 miles) 2006 car when viewed with the hood open. Looked at yours while someone applies the brakes?

LOL. Since when did .020" equal 6mm? That is literally half of one millimeter...

0.020in has never equaled 6mm. 0.20in does.

You've apparently not bothered to observe the movement of the brake master cylinder on the firewall during braking. The movement is visible -- but you gotta look.

What? I'm guessing you posted that video as evidence but did you watch the video you posted or do you not understand the dial gauge? that gauge is in .0005" increments. The total travel of the gauge is 0-.25". It moves .020".

Rejoin this discussion when you've observed the firewall flex -- or lack of flex -- at the brake master cylinder on your S2000 when someone presses firmly on the brake pedal.

Takes 3 minutes, the car is nearby. Takes a helper.

The dial indicates that it is 0 - 0.25" on that side and the maximum displayed was about 0.23" which is almost 6mm. The firewall does flex, new or old since there is minimal reinforcement for the sheet metal there.
