Looking to build my valvetrain
So I just picked up a spare head for my AP1 and am looking to build it for future boost, but for now it'll just be NA
I was looking into super tech valves, retainers and springs due to their good quality to cost.
I was suggested to buy the Inconel Valves (intake and exhaust) and to get titanium retainers.
My questions are, are the inconel valves worth their price? Any problems with them etc?
Also any suggestions instead of titanium retainers? I know they have a limited shelf life and I'd rather not have to replace them every 40k or so.
thanks.

First thing is are you really going to be above 500whp? Pretty sure there are s2000s with factory heads hitting mid 600s on e85. I also had a refreshed but with all OEM parts. That was suggest by a well known shop in the s2000 community and one of their sponsored drivers. They said there is no reason to do all that if the car is not being abused constantly. The titanium parts are stronger but once they go could be catastrophic. They aren't as maliable as the metal used from factory. I'm also boosting just waiting on a tune but should only be around 400 on pump 91

Any parts that "go" are going to be catastrophic. I was just wondering what parts should replace titanium as I don't want to constantly rebuild the head.

yeah i worded that wrong. Basically with anything titanium you will be having to rebuild the head more frequently is what I was told by sponsored driver. So maybe the less titanium the better I guess?
