Looking to change the gears

Heres my take on this. Gears are only good for city driving. Because while racing you wont be any faster than a car with 4.10s.
Check out the graph of the 4.10s vs all the other gears in the quarter mile. If you notice after the launch all the cars maintain the same distance in between the lines. Which means after the launch the 4.77s stop out accelerating the 4.10s. So around a track, or a race from a roll it would be a drivers race.
Although 4.77s would be awesome for daily driving to have that extra power down low in the rpms. But for track/racing purposes theyre almost useless.

I'm gonna go with the 4.77s i have an AP1 and that is what ive been reading, i saw them on science of speed for 450 plus the speedo calibrator for a 100 so looking at around 550, i dont know y that guy spent so much unless that was installed which it probably was, but all my boys are mechanics and will do it for me for cheap.

the gears themselves can be gotten for like $250. They are oem from a KIA car. Blaming as to which one right now. If you search on here you will find the part number which you can get from any dealership.
kia part numbers:
old pn MM05727110
superceded pn KI-0K01427110
for sale here:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...M&siteid=213824
$282
http://www.kiaparts.com/partscat.html
$243
i was going to originally piece it all together but i ended up going through hardtopguy and s2kpuddydad because i'd rather have it cryoed and installed by someone of ben's calibur. the install is only a few hundred dollars.
