Default Looking for the right racing seat

I've been searching the forums for a while, but I am looking for a seat that fits me:

5'4''
180lbs
short legs - this is the important part. I have a 2006 and I slide the seat ALL the way foward when driving on the road course. I also have a wider waist, and back.

So I was wondering, If anyone like me have found a racing seat that fit correctly. Usually people worry about being to tall, or being too wide for racing seats...But I am short, wide, and short legged.

The more I research, the more I feel that there are no seats that will fit me because the S2000 is so small. Especially the door to transmission tunnel area.

Seats I were considering at first - again, Im not sure if I can move up enough to fully reach the clutch pedal. Also, most are too narrow for me I believe

Buddy Club Racing Spec
Sparco Rev
Recaro SPG
Bride Zeta 3
Memoryfab S68 - supposedly these fit and are made for 32"-38" waist, but the company is redesigning their seats right now supposedly. So finding this seat with the Memoryfab low sliders is tough.

Anyways, please help.
Thanks in advance

Hmm... not sure if seats would make a difference, unless they had more padding or something to drive your position more forward. My guess would be that you might be looking at getting some custom side brackets with holes that extend a bit more forward than the ones that come in the box.

Thanks for the responses. Seems the only company that makes rails for the 2006+ s2000 is Buddy Club...

I also just found a picture of a sk2i member who has a Recaro Pole Positions with Buddy Club rails.

I forgot to add a few preferences:
1. I would like to still use the storage compartment (under 23" shoulder bolster?)
2. I still plan to use the stock seat belts. It would be nice to find a seat that can fit the seat buckle thru the belt holes in the seat (the cobra imola seems to have large holes)

I also read a few posts from people asking about some kind of driver seat switch that activates the airbag. And changing the seat results in "no airbag deployment." Honestly, I understand why they have this for the passenger, but why the driver? do they really have a switch on the driver's side? Please someone confim this. Thanks.

I just did some measuring of mine own!

OEM SEAT - exterior measurements (remember that the seat is softly padded on the outside)
Shoulder - about 20"
Rib/Side - about 19"
Leg - about 20"

CAR - max width that can fit
Shoulder - about 21.5" (without rubbing the door or blocking glove compartment)
Rib/Side - about 19.5"
Leg - about 20.0" - could be less if the seat is lowered

also, side of car to trans tunnel at the furthest point of seat travel foward.
- about 19"

IN COMPARISON:

buddy club regular
shoulder - 21.5"
Rib/side - n/a
Leg - 19.3"

buddy club wide
Shoulder - 23.0"
Rib/side - n/a
Leg - 20"

Cobra Imola
Shoulder - 22.5"
Rib/side - n/a
Leg - 19"

Sparco Rev
Shoulder - 22.8"
Rib/side - 17.6"
Leg - 19.25"

Momo Start 2007
Shoulder - 23"
Rib/side - n/a
Leg - 20.7"

OMP RS
Shoulder - 22.5"
Rib/side - n/a
Leg - 19.7"

I'm just looking for seats that are not too expensive. Any other options?

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-cars...h-end-mods.html

An S2000 with an Imola 2, which i believe is very similar to the Imola S
The car is also right hand drive... but the seat seems to fit. I might be getting this seat.

I don't think you are going to fit in a Rev. They are very tight.

I think you are talking about the driver seat position sensor that tells the SRS system how close the seat is to the steering wheel. This is to control how hard the air bag is deployed. If the seat is moved all the way forward, the air bag doesn't deploy with as much force as if the seat is all the way back.

thanks for the info gernby, that makes sense. actually, wouldn't the airbag deploy faster if I'm sitting closer to the steering wheel - because there is less distance/time for me to impact the steering wheel, so the airbag needs to deploy faster...

anyways, I guess if the sensor is eliminated, the computer is going to show a fault and cancel airbag deployment all together?
