Nobody has mentioned the Greddy Ti-C single. It looks and sounds great. No droning and it has a pretty good price.

I have the Greddy 70mm single and there is absolutely no drone. When cruising you cant even hear it. Perfect compromise

What about my second question, if i get a 70mm single will i need to get a 70mm testpipe? Will my Berk TP which is 63mm bottleneck the exhaust and screw up airflow?
Will there be a significant difference between 63 and 70mm testpipe with a 70mm exhaust?

So my buddy who has an 06 WRX got an exhaust (yes i know the wrx / s2k is very different exhaust wise) but it sounds amazing and its real nice and low, smooth and NOT loud, and LOW drone..

So it got me thinking, is it possible for a single for the s2k to sound similar, and not have the drawbacks of most single exhausts IE: lots of drone / loud at cruising speeds). Going from a dual to a single, i would be excited about the new power gains and such..
but my question(s) is this..

1) What singles (if any) are out there that dont have any/very minimal drone and not riduclously loud? I want to still be able to hear my stock (minus HU) sound system

2) If i have a berk testpipe (63mm) would getting a 70mm single cause a bottleneck effect and be worse than getting a 63mm single, which would be the same size as my testpipe?

Any help suggestions are greatly appreciated!
May not be applicable but I had the really loud Invidia duals, the REALLY bad part was the drone. I put on the Berk header and the Berk high flow cat and the drone VANISHED. Food for thought.

The bottleneck effect only applies in the opposite direction. Meaning you can get bigger from the header back with no bad affects, but you don't want to get smaller from the header back. the 63mm HFC will be fine, but the 70mm will flow a little better.

the J's 60rs I've heard in person and has little to no drone. It also weighs next to nothing (and also costs 1300 new).
