minor Ap2 upgrades
Just bought an 07 s2k. I'm looking to do some minor upgrades like short throw shifter, intake, full exhaust (header back) and then upgrade the sound system....
Since im a new owner and want the absolute best for my car... what parts do you suggest for me? Also I read somewhere that people remove a clutch delay valve?? Is this something I should take care of??? please. Help

Short shifter is expensive and honestly a waste in my opinion. The car already has a great throw. Just get a countersunk knob if you want it lower. For exhaust and intake, go take a look at all the comparisons in the NA section. Same goes for audio. The clutch delay valve is debatable. Many say you should remove it, and some say leave it. You can read up on that as well and make a decision for yourself.
Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the site!
If interested in a short shifter we have a group buy pre-order going for ours now. The batch is in production still but offering a discounted price for pre-orders.
A countersunk shift knob will definitely shorten up the throws and give it a nice feel but the short shifter is a night and day difference in shifting. I could never go back to the oem shifter after. Extremely sloppy in comparison.
I'd definitely ditch the CDV!

^Get a shift knob from this guy. Easily the mod I am happiest with every single day I drive the car.
As for intake and exhaust I suggest going to some meets in your area and riding in peoples cars. Everyone has different tastes and tolerances for the exhaust sound and intake sound. I have the comptech intake and love it. Its the best mix of looks and performance and it is quite. My exhaust is no longer made so it won't really help you and its really loud.
Since you have an 07 look into getting flash pro. It will let you get the most out of the bolt on mods you do.
Leave your clutch delay valve. Unless you are boosting there is not a reason to remove it. I have heard it will shorten the life of your clutch if you do remove it.

I agree with Magna_Spawn about the shift knob. I just got an Anvil 2 from Moddiction last month. It is well worth the money over a short shifter. Exhaust and intake leaves a little to personal! taste. Checking out other cars and getting rides can help with those decisions.
Spend some time with the car and get to know if before you go mod crazy. That will tell you what you need/want as far as mods go. Don't just mod for the sake of modding. If you want suggestions then you need to be very clear regarding your specific goals, criteria, budget, etc.
Best is always highly subjective on any topic. That's why you need to spend time getting familiar with the car in stock form first and let that approach set the direction for your decision making. Additionally, there are countless threads on those topics for you to refer to. There's no absolute best option for each question you're asking. Read up and see what sounds like it would suit you best.

I don't really have a budget and i dont plan on doing a turbo setup anytime soon. I want to get a exhaust system that will give me good hp/tq gains..same for intake ( looking at pwjdm).all thats left is a sound system....

Also make sure you have some good tires on the car. This can really improve the driving experience.
Oh and if you have the stock stereo get a aftermarket one. Any decent alpine, kenwood, or pioneer will make your life much better and pair it with the modifry DCI and harness.
