Couldn't be an authentic as I've been in two S's that have them and never heard of this problem.

I'd try greasing the seals first, even my oem hardtop creaks like crazy when the seals are dry

What brand is yours? I have a double sided CF Mugen replica and I don't see any light shine through and my creaking is minimal. Check where your rear seal is placed cause it might not be in a good position.

There is a reason why replicas cost less than the original parts they try to copy, you just happened to find out the hard way. I would send it back to the people that sold it to you, see through hardtops would not be acceptable to me, but that's just my opinion. Have them send it back to the chinese factory where it likely came from.

Thanks, but he would make me pay shipping to return it. Pathetic business practice. I'm gonna leave my feedback on him as soon as I can. I heard about greasing the seals. Also I heard about buying a thicker seal from Home Depot, which is supposed to work better. By getting rid of the creaks. ALSO I even heard that jacking up the car on one side then tightening down that side of the top then the same thing with the other side is supposed to make it nice and tight.

You can see light through your hardtop? Yikes. I had the creaking over bumps and uneven surfaces at first as well. What fixed it was unbolting it and rebolting it without pressing down on it the top. Still fits fine and no more creaking.

What brand is it for god's sake? No point making a thread complaining if it doesn't inform anyone of anything.

+1, i personally own an authentic mugen carbon fiber hardtop and never heard of these problems, so guess you can rule out the authentic hardtop...
