Actually, Mike has provided factual information on this site for some time now. I personally would appreciate it if you extended some courtesy to him... and others, whether they agree or disagree with you.

I can tell you that as it applies to AP1's, lower braces are of little consequence. I cannot speak for the watered-down, but still capable, AP2's.

I've never done this test. What would one be looking for exactly?

lol, didn't notice that. I thought it was a retort. I'm curious as well.

In stock suspended form I would tend to agree, but with a stiff track suspended S which puts more force and strain on the chassis, you notice all the bracing you can fit up. Thats my own experience. I have the Cusco style right now, the X is a torsionally stiffer peice with 4 connecting points.
anyone else notice this? I didn't notice anything significant on 16kg.

Thats stiff... what were you doing, drifting? That might be why you didn't notice much, your in a constant state of slippage, puts more relief on the chassis.

I'm at 10kg, I run pretty hard in the damping typically though...

Haha.. . unfortunately, no. It is a perfect match for R-comps. Drifting in the s2k, or rather in general, is not easy.
