Default NA Tuning

I am looking to go NA with my 2007 S. However I wanted to ask those who had already gone with the same tuning concept several questions.

1) Which NA tuned machine do you know of produces the best NA performance numbers?

2) When it comes to NA tuning , is it best to stick to one manufactures parts in keeping with a say Spoon or J's Racing theme, or is there more success to be had in mixing and matching parts?

3)Depending on the answer to #2 Which parts / manufactures have the best reputation for quality and performance gains.

The only other thing to consider is that I'm not going all out in weight reduction the cars Interior will stay stock for the most part, and for the exception of perhaps a new front bumper and hood, no lightweight parts will be used in order to keep a lower profile.

Everyones input is highly appreciated

To make power NA it is first very hard to make good power in my opinion and 2 very expensive. I dont thin it is necessary to stick with only 1 brand although im sure each company does build their parts to complimentr eachother to some degree. I had originally wanted to to a NA build on my 05, but decided forced induction was a better idea, then i decided a house would be the best idea so i am working for that now. Lol. Priorities change i guess. all the NA guys seem to hang out in the subforum called "JDM Tuning by Bulletproof Automotive." There are a lot of threads with peoples builds in there that you might benifit from readiing. Good luck with the build man. Take care.

For a drive by wire car get the Hondata reflash for a Toda header and a top brand header (Toda, Js or ASM), then call it a day.

A test pipe and 70mm single exhaust too will give a bit more hp and save a lot of weight.

Totally dependent on your budget. The cheap and effective way is to go with an AEM intake, toda header, hondata intake manifold gasket, test pipe or high flow cat and any 70mm exhaust then get the hondata reflash.

Unless you are going to spend much much more than what it takes to do that, your gains are going to be minimal over the reflash route.

If you do want to spend significantly more, then check out my thread in my signature.

I have a lot of NA experience with this car, and I can tell you that it's all trial and error. Some parts ork well with other and some don't, but you just have to keep trying.

I nice intke, header, exhaust set-up w/ a tune can get you upwards to 230whp depending on your set up. After that it gets more and more difficult to push power, but not impossible.

Dont go N/A it will cost you a lot of money.

I say go turbocharged or supercharged it will cost you less then going fully built N/A.

You can go stock with a turbocharger or supercharger.

Check out kraftwerks supercharger kit.

You can gain considerably amount of horsepower on a stock application engine.

I thought about that initially. In fact , before I became an owner, I was positive I was going to go with a supercharged setup. But the more I see examples and drive my own car, I feel as if this car was one that was meant to be NA. I like the idea of sharper throttle response and not having to worry about the maintenance that goes with FI.

Im not planning on breaking the bank with a complete build. More so looking for the choice parts that would best enhance the whole NA experience in addition to a Reflash. Not a full blown track machine but a street tune.

This is what you want:

The cheap and effective way is to go with an AEM intake, toda header, hondata intake manifold gasket, test pipe or high flow cat and any 70mm exhaust then get the hondata reflash.

Anything else will cost mucho bucks for minimal gain and more headache.
