If I were to go the Supercharged route wouldn't that put alot more stress on the engine as well as alot more in the way of maintenance and care needed for the car to be driven on a daily basis?

That was always my biggest concern with SCing the car in the first place, Other than the feel of the overall driving experience.

Also , I was referring to the Hondata re flash for 06 and up S2000's

Increases HP and Torque slightly while also changing the VTEC engagement point and brings the Redline up to 8600 if I'm not mistaken

SC won't put stress on your engine if you drive it properly. Just don't go Auto-Xing every where. SC and Turbo actually help your gas milage if you drive it normaly under v-tec.

Wont recommended 4.77 on a ap2. Stick with 4.44

4.77 on an AP2 is too much. The 4.44 is the most recommended. Moterklasse makes one, or get whatever hardtopguy sells.

The purpose of gears is two fold. One is to get you to 70ish MPH faster, basically improving your acceleration. If you want it for that reason then a 4.56 or a 4.44 is what you want.

The more important use to me is to make 3rd gear more accessible for canyon runs or track days. You have to balance that against the need to make more shifts as the final drive gets bigger. For tracking and canyons I think the 4.3 is most appropriate. But honestly you won't notice a huge difference in acceleration with a 4.3 so it's probably not worth it unless you are a track junky.

If you go s/c, I wouldn't get gears. Some might recommend it but from my exp, now that you have a s/c, its good for you to keep your stock 4.1 to have longer power band.

NA gears is ok but wouldn't go over 4.44.

Remember, gears make the car seem faster but you lose mph per gear, so in turn can potentially make your car slower if your not one hella of a shifter.

Ive heard of 5.1 gears on some na apps. To me that makes no sense since it gets to a point that gears does not help you. If you have the power, dont need the gears.

Example is a corvette. 3.42 final drive ratio.

I would say getting intake, and exhaust + test pipe, 4.56 gears, as well as a tune using e-manage ultimate.

you will fall in love...

I didn't mention getting an aftermarket header because for the money for a good header like j's or whatever you will see minimal gains unless you're supercharged.

The benefit, if any, would be much smaller with S/C.

4.56 for AP1 is different then for AP2.
