hey guys. i own a 01 s2k and i need some guidance on replacing my clutch. my car has been sitting in the garage for almost a year now because of no income(school) but since i finally got a job for the summer, i need some help on finding a place that would do a good job in installing clutches and i also need a good deal on one. my car is going to be a daily driver but im looking to add a few small mods later on. i want durability and smoothness for my clutch. ive only talked to AJ racing and im sure theres alot of other places i can go. surrey honda offered WAYYY to much for both labour and the clutch kit. it seems i need everything replaced such as the flywheel, bearings etc. help would be greatly appreciated.

Just get OEM...you can get better deals online from Majestic Honda or hardtopguy.com for the clutch "kit" (just need friction disk, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, and pilot bearing).

Post in your local s2ki forum for a recommendation on a non-dealer shop or mechanic who can install the parts for less money than the dealer.

One note...the s2k clutch job is a bit of a pain. You should expect to pay between $600-800 parts + labor from a non-dealer.

 

If my memory severs me correctly, I paid a total of $1300 (parts + labor). I went with the HTG clutch kit (comptech flywheel version). Awesome combo.
