Mostly when you buy an intake for an S2k you are buying it for asthetics and sound.
I had the FIPK, and now have the PRM and I love it. There are no noticable differences in throttle response or power between the 2 intakes, but I do think the PRM sounds better. Thats the main reason I got it is because I love the sound.

Its just a pipe with a filter bud. The Injen is okay, but I prefer to keep my short ram intake to completely eliminate the possibility of hydrolocking the engine. The engine in my car is far more important than a CAI.

Hyderlocking is when you go over a water puddle and get water into the filter right? this is common to INJEN because the pipe and filter leads to near the ground?

Yes, hydrolocking is when you suck up enough water into the engine and it stalls out. One of my friends actually just did this last week with his injen CAI, and made the mistake of trying to start it again after it stalled out. Now he needs a new engine.

I daily drive mine and i'm not going to be going out of my way to go around a darn puddle that I have no clue how deep it is. With a short ram intake there is nothing to worry about, so thats why i'm sticking to it.

Theres a big thread about all the intakes out. Go look under the N/A section and find the intake thread, it will talk about pretty much every intake.

I have the AEM V2. Sound is amazing. Yes it is a Cold Air Intake and low to the ground, but I make sure I am not driving into puddles of water. If I want to do that, I just drive my FJ Cruiser. The car sounds like a beast when it hits vtech.
