Default Nitrogen Tires....

well when i bought my AP2 the dealer said the tires were filled with nitrogen to get better mileage and etc.....but since i live where no one has a tank laying around to fill my tires if they lose air, i was wondering if i could just use regular air with the nitrogen. will this affect anything? any help would be apprciated

The beauty of nitrogen is multifaceted. With nitrogen there is less escape than oxygen. Nitrogen also expands less with heat so the difference between hot and cold is less.

Yes you can add regular old pump air but you will be polluting the nitrogen. Call around to the tire shops in your area and see if any use nitrogen.

nitrogen is a denser gas and you should not loose pressure. that is why they use it in most race cars. if for some reason you loose pressure, you can mix it

There is only 21% of oxygen in air;the rest is mostly nitrogen...

lol i remember the first time some guy came to our shop and I guess he forgot the word nitrogen, anyways he was trying to think of the word and naming random words like nitrous. me and the other person that was working with me had no idea what he wanted to put in his tires so the person that was working with me said we could fill his tires with chocolate pudding.... the guy felt like a dummy and I had to leave so I could lmao... and my boss/owner was listening to all this and said well i guess he's never coming back....lol

then i found out you can put nitrogen in tires...

If you don't have a tire shop with nitrogen around you, try asking Cosco, Sam's Club, Walmart. Most of them sell tires and will fill with nitrogen for a good price.

If you put air in your nitrogen filled tires, you are defeating the purpose of the nitrogen in the first place. The tire must be 95%+ nitrogen to recieve the benefits.

just cause im curious, does having nitrogen in your tires actually make a noticable diference, or is it just something that works on paper but not in the real world?
