You guys that are posting stay away and what not, but not giving any reason for why.

Why didn't it work for you? Or are you just scared of nitrous and are speaking with no actual knowledge of how it works?

I would suggest not spraying through the vtec switch though. It should be possible to set up the nitrous so it will only spray on full throttle and when vtec is engaged.

I say this, because a lot of s2ks go pretty lean when first engaging vtec. Even with additional fuel this lean condition may still occur to a certain extent and you risk a 6500rpm lean condition.

Messing with the timing probably isn't too crucial for a 50 shot, but any higher and you definitely want to find a way to retard timing.

I was thinking that running off the vtec solenoid would work great and be cheaper than a window switch.

Ideally, you get a full progressive controller and window switch, but IMO nitrous is all about going fast for cheap, so I try to avoid stuff like that unless I'm doing a big shot.

yah i dont agree at all....people ahve mis conceptions about nitrous. i run a built nitrous motor in my prelude and a 225 shot and its worlds of fun.

i guess it is a little more economical as i dont ahve to run premium gas during the winter, i can cruse "out of boost" unlike a turbo/sc car.

no. it doesnt. it runs great. i get 28mpg. good power. as for the tune...thats the thing about nitrous. you dont really ahve to "tune" like you would for boost.

you manually controll the amount of fuel injected through the foggers. the a/f only changes when you spray.

i also use a jcobs nitrous mastermind that has fuel enrichment on the fly in the car.
