Anybody have any costs on this? Seems like the muffler shop would have to take the exhaust down to do it which could increase costs.

I've also had my resonator removed a while ago. Does anybody know how it would sound with the resonator removed as well?
Are you referring to the helhomz resonator (the pipe looking protrusion from the exhaust) or the midpipe resonator? (the big boxy looking resonator inline with the OEM exhaust). I found this video, but it's of a guy who removed the midpipe resonator.

Can't imagine it would cost more than $100 or so to do. I currently have a magnaflow catback on my car, but it's too loud for my taste. I'm thinking of hauling over my OEM exhaust to a local muffler shop and having them weld in a 38mm piece and swap it in in place of my current set up.
The midpipe resonator. Thanks for the video. Sounds too raspy for my taste.

Yeah, in the video it does seem raspy, but catching exhaust audio on a youtube video is really hit or miss.

I got a message back from the owner of the car in the original video, and he pulled it since he's changing some stuff on it. If it pops back up, i'll share the new link. In the meantime, i'm going to haul over my OEM exhaust while I have it off the car and have it modded this weekend. I'll upload some vids when it's all done.

I wonder if there is a slight loss in power, like when u take the lid off the OEM air box.

I wouldn't see why, you're not going to run into a heat soak issue or anything. All you're really doing is allowing some of the exhaust gas to bypass the baffled chamber.

Video is back up, for those who didn't get a chance to see/hear it.

I purchased 34mm stainless steel pipe online, waiting to receive it to perform the mod. I chose bigger than 28mm because of the first video with 38mm, it sounds great.

I will make a video after I install the stock exhaust with the mod.

I'm so considering this now, I love how the ap2 with the 38mm sounds (black car in video).. But since I have a test pipe already I think I might try the 32mm out..
