Would changing the angle/length of the connector pipes change the sound at all, or do you think it would have no effect?

The length may not have an effect but im guessing the angle would because it would increase/decrease air flow? Thats also a result from the pipe size you choose. "IMO" Im doing this mod this week, UCgordon if you want to meet up and ride together maybe get a discounted price? Im in CT fairfield county.

Are you guys doing it yourself or taking it to shops? My friend can weld so im considering doing this myself. What would you use to cut holes in the pipes?

i'm taking mine to a shop, i think the guy mentioned using a plasma cutter, to cut the holes, that wasn't at his shop at the moment

Its a pretty straight forward project if you can weld and cut yourself, it took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. I dont have a plasma cutter so I just used a drill and made a couple holes and then punched it out. Overall kinda a ghetto way to cut the holes but it worked. If you do it like that make sure you take the time to clean up the new hole otherwise your welds will come out like crap. The welding is pretty easy once you get the two links cut to the correct angles.

Just had my AP1 exhaust modified. It's definitely a bump up in sound from stock. No drone, no cold start raspiness. Has a little G35 sound to it. It's a little too mild for me.

Price depends on whether its on or off the car, should be under $100.

I don't know the piping size, it was the biggest that would fit.
