Default OEM rear spoiler (ap1) problems

I have the oem ap1 decklid spoiler, bought used, so i used store bought 3M heavy duty double sided tape (the gray gummy kind). And also drilled out the 4 spots for hardware. Problem is that when in direct sunlight/heat for a while, the spoiler flexes/warps and the middle bows up, lifting off of the trunk...so there is a huge gap (a good 3-4mm of gap). The tape isn't doing it's job when it gets hot. Have you guys run into this problem? Any suggestions? seems like the spoiler would stay on a lot better if there were spots for hardware in this problem area, but there isn't.

yeah, it has honda printed on the bottom. it fits fine when its cold/unwarped. Just when it gets hot, it bends out of shape...really sucks.

^ever try taking it off, drilling a hole in it, filling it up with water and freezing the whole damn thing?
hahaha.. seriously, just kidding..

I don't know bud, I'd take it to your dealer, no matter the mileage on your car, and say hey.. look, this is an AUTHENTIC, GENUINE HONDA OE spoiler, why is this happening? I would like to have this matter taken care of no matter the means...

sometimes, they'd take care of you on just good faith.. worth the try man..

go check it out!

it's basically just a crappy way to hold down the wing. The center bolts are only at the rear of the wing, and there is a single bolt on each end, but nothing in the front, they make you only rely on tape!
